If you travel internationally for business, or pleasure, Verizon Wireless has made it easier and less costly to stay connected in more than 200 countries. With the introduction of their Global Data Pricing, they have changed the way they charge for data used in many areas outside of the United States. Now, data is billed at $25.00 per 100 MB increment. You must first add the $25.00 Global Data plan to your account. If you exceed 100 MB, you will be billed an additional $25.00. If you use over 200 MB, you will be billed $50.00, and so on. It is a good idea to backdate the start of your Global Data plan to the beginning of the current bill cycle so that the 100 MBs will not be prorated. This ensures that the entire amount of global data is available. Keep in mind that data is billed at $20.00 per 1 MB if you do not activate the Global Data plan (you must add “pay as you go”) and in countries where Verizon Wireless does not have this special roaming agreement. This pricing system is far superior to the old one, and it saves you money. Read more.
