I can’t remember my voice mail pass code, can I still listen to my messages?
Answer: Yes, you can reset the voice mail pass code to gain access to your messages by calling Verizon Wireless at 1-800-922-0204 or by logging into your My Business or my Verizon personal online account.
How do I check my voice mail if my phone is not operable or I do not have access to it?
Answer: Call your cellular telephone number from any other phone. When you hear your message begin to play press, the # key to interrupt your message and enter your pass code.
Can I keep the cellular phone number I’m using now with a competitor if I switch to Verizon Wireless?
Answer: Yes, you will need to provide us with current account information (account #, account name, billing address, account password and authorized contact) when you activate your Verizon Wireless phone. Your number will automatically be cancelled on your old provider account.
Please do not cancel the service prior to this time. If your contract has expired, you will not have to pay an early termination fee.
What is an early termination fee?
Answer: When you sign up for post-pay service with any carrier, you are signing a contract. Most often the contract is 24 months. If you cancel your service prior to the contract end date, your service provider will bill you an early termination fee for exiting the contract early. This fee can start at $350.00 for advanced devices and $175.00 for standard phones. Most carriers have a policy that reduces the amount of the fee by $5.00 for each month you have fulfilled your contract.
What is 4G?
Answer: It is the next generation of wireless data communication, offering up to 10 times faster data speeds on 4G capable devices.
What is the difference between 3G data and 4G data speeds?
Answer: 3G upload data speeds range from 0.6 – 1.4 Mbps, while 4G offers upload data speeds of 5 – 12 Mbps.
What does 4G LTE do for me?
Answer: The higher speed decreases lag time, reducing delay and buffering while improving real-time responses. You can share pictures and video real-time. It offers the capability to network things you never had before, like your home, car . . . and even your refrigerator and other home automation items.
How do I find out if 4G is available in my area?

What is Friends and Family?
Answer: Some plans have this feature, which allows you to add up to 5 or 10 frequently called numbers to your account that will become FREE calls. If you have Verizon Wireless and your sister has service with another carrier, you can add her number to your Friends and Family and every call between the two of you is FREE. You can add home numbers and toll free numbers, as well.
How do I add Friends and Family numbers to my account?
Answer: For personal accounts, log into your My Verizon online account to set up and manage your numbers. If you have a business account, log into your My Business online account to manage the numbers. These numbers can be changed as frequently as you like. Once you make the changes, they take effect in 24 hours.
What can I do with all of my old cell phones?
Answer: Most wireless stores have a drop off-box in the lobby. Some donate to HopeLine and others to soldiers, domestic violence victims and schools. You can also search “donate my old cell phone” online, and many options for donating your phone will be listed.
How can mobile broadband help me and my company?

Answer: Streaming music and video are the largest data users.
Are there any tips I can use to protect myself when using a public Wi-Fi hotspot?
Answer: Make sure your firewalls are on and up to date; turn off your file sharing tool; use your VPN; use an email program that encrypts the contents of your email, as well as any passwords; don’t send private information from a public hotspot, save it for when you are on a more secure connection like your Verizon Mobile Broadband connection or your home network; turn off your wireless adapter when you are not using it; watch your surroundings and make sure that you and your information are not being viewed by someone else.
Can I keep my phone when I switch cell phone companies?
Answer: Generally, you will need to buy a new phone. The U.S. does not have a single, standard wireless phone network technology, and most cell phones are designed to work on only one type of network. When you switch from one provider to another with an incompatible network, you will need a new phone. There may be exceptions. Ask our wireless professionals for more information.
